totally not IF related, but I need advice ** Update, booked trip **
I want to get away - we are in the midst of a renovation on the house (I know it wans't the best timing for IVF), so I need to pick somewhere not too pricey
I don't want to call the travel agent unless I think I can book it - am I totally unrealistic in thinking we can get a somewhat all inclusive to the sun to play golf for a long weekend for under 1K?

After searching the web, I decided to call our travel agent and we're booked to Dreams Resort All Inclusive, in Cancun - with unlimited golf
Didn't get it for under 1K, but got a good deal none the less

Nope. Check the Dominican Republic. One of my friends once got a deal 4 days/3 nights for her and DH for $600 all inclusive including Air through Liberty Travel.

check travelzoo.com! They always have great deals, also cheapcarribean.com, I did a cheap, but AWSOME bahamas vacation through them.

Don't know about that, when ever we have any spare dosh we go back to UK. I do think you need to get away and get some sun on your bones and enjoy yourselves, I think it will do you the world of good.
Take a breath, play some golf, sit in the sun, swim in the ocean, drink a few cocktails and watch the sunset.....can I come?
I'm sorry you had such a crappy day Helen, I wish I could take the pain away I really do.
I'll water your plants while your gone! banoffi pie on it's way to you this weekend!

I know some people aren't big on all inclusives but my husband and I took a 3 day/4 night getaway to Couples Negril for under $1000.

I would definitely recommend Mexico or DR.
I always price things on Americanexpress.com ( vacation link)
But these 2 are my favories------------
ALso,
KAyak.com ( really good CHEAP travel website- searches everything for you)
or
Sidestep- Another really good search engine for vacations!

I think a weekend getaway would be great for you -
check out DR, Puerto Rico, Cancun, Bahamas, FL

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Enjoy, relax, you so deserve this time with your hubby! Sometimes I think conceiving becomes so consuming, you forget the simpler pleasures of the marriage. This is a great break for you
