Those who have been, what things did you do in Cancun?
I have been to Mexico once, so I know
a few things to do....what have you done that was worthwhile?

I did not stay in Cancun, we were in Cozumel but we took the ferry to Cancun and did a day trip to Xcaret and it is AMAZING!!!!

We stayed in Cancun for our HM...but we did two day trips, which were outside Cancun...we went swimming with the dolphins (which was awesome) and went horse back riding on the beach.
I wanted to go to the Mayan ruins, b/c DH wasn't going for that...but I also heard the trip to xcarat was amazing

we went to swim with the dolphins at the water park. books quick and they only take around 4 to 6 to actually swim in the water. also we went on a day trip snorkeling.

We did Xcaret while on a cruise- very cool!
WHile we were in Cancun for a week we did the Mayan Ruins... Tulum. They were amazing to see but it was HOT! If you do them, wear a bathing suit because there is a beach that is amazing and at least if you sweat its not your clothes 
We also drove speed boats to a snorkeling area. Not all it was cracked up to be.
There is another place that is supposed to be great.... I think its a smaller island with some shopping and a beach. I am drawing a blank on the name.
We honestly spent most of our week hanging out by the pool. We were going to sign up for more excursions but we were enjoying just soaking up the sun!

You found it worth the entrance fee? I am going on a cruise next month that stops in Cozumel and we were thinking of doing this but I then saw the price and wasnt sure.

I really do want to swim with dolphins. That has been a DREAM of mine my entire life! I wanted to train them for a living, but my parents would not have it. I even got a tattoo of one when I was 18.
I am not sure we can swing the expense. But it is top on the list. My DH is so sweet and said he did not have to go, so I could ("it's not like you'd pay any attention to me when you are hugging them" ) But I could not imagine not sharing it with him. So we will see.

snorkeled- speed boats- we enjoyed it
beach- a lot!
Xcaret
gondola ride a mall and ate crepes- it was cute- we did it after dinner-it was at a mall, cant remember which one though, sorry!

we love history so we took a lot of sightseeing trips: Tulum, Coba and Chichen Itza.... plus we also went to Xcaret...

IMO yes. You can spend the whole day just there and there is SO much to do!! There's lots of animals to look at, you can snorkel in the underground river, it is located on a beach too so youc an also take that in. We ate at the mexican restaurant while we were there it was pretty good! We had a lot of fun

We stayed at the Xcaret resort and had a great time. The park is awesonme, they have an undergound river. It was so much fun, we even took my 11 month old son in it. He loved it. There is plenty to do so plan on spending the day.
