when do you plan on going???
out of those i havent stayed in any, but we are staying at Hard Rock next month. so i can tell you after we get back.
is it your first time there? your first time you may want to stay on the strip
i would not stay at:

We have never been there, and we do want to stay on the strip.
do you know if the Palms is on the strip?
We are looking into the Aladdin.
We are looking to go 4/22-4/26.
If you can suggest anywhere to stay I am open to suggestions. TIA

when we were going to go, the TA recommended the monte carlo. they was great reviews on the hotel

we went last january and stayed at MGM... we really liked it. we stayed in the "west wing" rooms, which are newly re-done... nice, comfy bed with down comforter, Bose stereo, and a cool feature- a TV screen built into the bathroom mirror! there is also a newer shopping and restaurant area inside the hotel which was nice. its kind of at the end of the strip,though, so it was a little bit of walking, but not bad...

The flamingo - GREAT location... But definately one of the older hotels. I wouldn't receommend it
The Palms - Best place to stay if you want to party - located off the strip, but they have shuttle busses (which is about a 5 min drive to the strip. Very hip & trendy- not your typical LV Hotel
Hard Rock - Located off the strip.. GREAT party hotel.. Hip & trendy.. great for celebrity sightseeing. They have the Rehab party which is extremely popular in Vegas
Stratosphere- Too far away from just about anything! Older hotel.. Good for the budget minded, but I wouldn't stay there even if it was for $20 a night.
Treasure Island - GREAT location.. Good value.. I would definately stay there again.
Alladin- Probably the best location on the strip. They are converting it to Planet Hollywood hotel, so I can only imagine that there will be alot of construction going on. Nice forum shops!!!

I stayed at the Monte Carlo and loved it. It has a HUGE pool.

I haven't stayed at any of those hotels, but I remember going to the Statosphere for dinner and it was so out of the way and in a shady part of town, IMO!!!

I stayed at the Excalibur twice. Though it was nice, Id try somewhere different next time. It also had lots fo families. I wouldnt stay at the Flamingo or Stratosphere. Its too far at the end of the strip.

We stayed at the Mirage! It was great! The pool was beautiful. Our 2nd choice was Aladian. We went in August so it was very hot so I went by which one had the better pool!

I have stayed at all of these. I liked the Hard Rock the best but its kind of a pain bc its not on the strip. Same with the Palms. Monte Carlo and TI are both in good locations.

I stayed at the Hard Rock and its insane!! Its 100% a party atmosphere, the pool is crazy and I can't wait to go back!! But the Casino is the smallest one in Vegas prob.. its VERY small HTH!

i think for your first time you should definatly stay on the strip, so i would veto Palms and Hard Rock.
to be honest, i really recomend Luxor.... its inexpensive and nice location, its attached to Excalibur and Mandalay Bay. we really loved it there and would definatly stay there again. the tower rooms are newer and nicer :)
(ive never stayed at TI or MC)

I've stayed at TI and it is nice but it is at the end of the strip so you do have to walk a lot.

We went 2 years ago and stayed at the Flamingo. Yes it wasnt one of the most extravagant ones, but it was not as bad as some people think. It was clean and I didn't think it was that "old" and definitely in a good location where you can walk in either direction of the strip. Good luck
