Checking out vacation spots..anyone?
We are looking into:
Palms in Turks & Caicos
Four Seasons Nevis
Fairmont-Barbados
Sandals Whitehouse-Jamaica
Parrot Cay-Turks & Caicos
This may all be moot if I can't use airline miles.

I like that one but the Palms is on the main island so going to find restaurants is easier. Parrot Cay you have to take a 30 minute boat ride to get to the mainland. That's pretty secluded and sounds great, but I think that would be a PIA, no?
Either hotel looks amazing in Turks.
The Fairmont in Barbados looks dreamy too.

A friend of mine went to the Palms in Turks and Caicos pretty recently and she loved it there.

My boss has been to the FS in Nevis twice and he loves it. My co-worker just went to Turks and Caicos and she really liked it too. I think all of your choices sounds great. Have you thought aboutr Mexico? I have stayed at the Royal Hideaway and loved it! It rates right up there with my honeymoon in french polynesia.

Thanks, we've been to Mexico and I got sick..so that ain't happening again ever.
I got a great deal on the Palms and now I'm able to use miles for air.
I think we'll book it this week. The FS in Nevis is beautiful but $1000 more and includes nothing. Where did your co-worker stay in Turks?

we stayed in a ocean view room - i guess it was a studio although pretty big
balcony, kitchen sink, fridge, microwave and sitting area and bathroom
I heard the one bedroom suites are really nice though
come to think of it, I think everyroom has a balcony whether you are ocean front/view or garden view.
I have pictures I will try to put in my community album but they always come out too small

thanks! we will probably get a garden view since the ocean view is sold out. The one bedromm suites look great but $$$$$$.
Do the rooms have a nice bath? Also, do they have a mini fridge or wet bar? Should we bring some wine or other stuff with us?
Got a really great deal.

I put some pictures in my album
The fridge is empty so you can put whatever you want in there
the front desk comes in twice to your room(am & pm) to give you bottle water
You can buy wine at the lcl market place _IGA (but you have to take a cab there and they are closed on sundays)
or there is a small store at the palms where you can buy wine
Everything on the island is pretty pricey though b/c you the import everything
have fun! Check out the spa!
also: yes the bathrooms are nice and they give you waffle cone robes to use.
also bring with you what you can - like suntan lotion etc. -- a SMALL bottle of sunblock was like $10-15

the pics are great. I know everything is expensive. How is Paralell 23? Any other restaurants you can recommend?
That's why we want to get the room and air as inexpensive as possible. Did you guys golf or do any excursions?
