Christening Gift
What should we get? We are friends with the couple, but not real close. We want to get a bond, how much should we spend and where can we get one?

$100 bond costs $50...any bank has them
otherwise oneshare.com.. I plan on using them soon..you can buy a share of stock and have it framed if you want..

Re: Christening Gift
I wouldn't get a bond...takes way too long for it to mature and if it isnt' used for college, the child will eventually have to pay taxes on the phantom interest. Give a check and a little gift, like an outfit.

Re: Christening Gift
I not a big bond giving person because people always know you paid half the amount you give and it just takes too long to mature. I think money and a nice little gift is better to give. JMO.

Re: Christening Gift
I would spend $100, so I guess that would be a $200 bond.
