SanFrancisco/NapaValley/Sonoma Questions
If you had 8 days - how would you do the split?
Where would you recommend to stay - Napa or Sonoma (town-wise)?
did you like where you stayed?Where have you also heard that it is good mid-range in price.
thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: SanFrancisco/NapaValley/Sonoma Questions
we are going for 5 days in september. we are spending 1 night in san francisco and then 4 nights in napa valley at the vino bello resort.
if i were u i would do 2 nights in san francisco and then split the remainder based on which wineries u would liek to go to!
Good luck!

Re: SanFrancisco/NapaValley/Sonoma Questions
Ohhh tough question!
For our honeymoon we spent 3 nights in San Fran, 4 nights in Sonoma, and 2 nights in Napa. If I had to do it in 8 days, I would spend 1 night in San Fran (I am NOT a city person so I didn't appreciate it as much as others would though). Then I think I would do 4 nights in Sonoma valley and 3 nights in Napa valley. Now we stayed in Healdsburg in Sonoma county which was nice and a cute town, but next time I would look into staying farther south (like maybe in the city of Sonoma). And for Napa, if you stay in the city of Napa it is the southern most point for all the wineries so you would have to drive north to get to the other wineries (not far though).
My hotel reccomendations:
Sausalito (outside of San Francisco)- The Inn Above Tide (my all time favorite place ever )
Napa- the 1801 First Inn- AMAZING b&b
In Healdsburg we stayed at the Grape Leaf Inn. It was nice and cute, but the rooms were small and we really didn't like the breakfasts (they were very gourmet and they were very unusual choices that really didn't make for good breakfast!!). I had wanted to book at the Inn at Healdsburg Plaza (or something like that) but they were booked- so I would look into that.
If you want anymore information, feel free to ask me! I did tons of research on this trip and I loved my time there SOOO much
