When are you going? Montauk Manor and Gurney's are nice.
I have never stayed in a hotel in Montauk because we have a house, but I think the Montauk Yacht Club is nice and has a nice brunch.
There are a lot of motels in town, but I don't know how nice they are.
Do you play golf? I used to work at the golf course out there.
I can't wait to get out to Montauk this summer.

Last summer I stayed at a place called Ocean Colony Beach and Tennis in Amagansett. It was closer to Montauk than the town of Amagansett, though. Condos, with a pool and of course the beach! Great staff to set up chairs and umbrellas on the beach. It was great!

Surf club, right ont he water, heated pool, clean, 2 minute walk into town, and reasonably priced compared to Montauk Manor or Gurneys (I think they are over-rated, and charg way more than they should)

We have a time share at Gurney's - going on Friday. I like it better than Montauk Manor and the Yacht Club because a) it's right on the beach and b) the rooms are nicer then at the Yacht Club IMO...

I love Montauk Yacht Club, but hate that it isn't directly in town. Everything about the place is nice, except that
I also love Royal Atlantic. It's right in town and on the beach. Fair priced rooms and convenient to everything!

Len's Cottages are very nice.
Gurney's is beautiful and right on the water as is the Royal Atlantic (I just don't like the owners there). The rooms in the Royal Atlantic are okay, but the condos are gorgeous.
Montauk Manor is also really nice.
I'm not a huge fan of the Yacht Club either.
