Tutoring and craigslist
I placed an ad on craigslist for tutoring but I wasn't sure where to post it. I posted on the childcare board... has anyone had any luck posting for tutoring on craigslist?

Re: Tutoring and craigslist
I am in GA and I posted tutoring services under childcare and lessons... I had little luck and got some very strange responses... but I finally did meet with someone who starting up his own company and was looking for tutors and I did get hired and have been doing some tutoring through him.

Re: Tutoring and craigslist
After doing it both ways, I found it better to go with a company. Even though they take a huge cut, I felt safer going into people's homes that came from the company and I got a LOT more students, because parents felt more comfortable inviting me into their homes with the backing of the company.
It's a HUGE financial cut, but I think it's just so hard to find and verify non-tutoring jobs unless you get good word of mouth going.
