What can I put out, when my DH's Godmother comes to visit?

Usually we alternate homes for Christmas and Easter visits.

She did Christmas recently and she did a brunch on Christmas Eve. It was very nice, she set up her dining room with linens, etc. I'm hoping she'll say come over again, but since I think its my turn and I need help.

I've done in the past was I put out nuts, chocolates -- things like that.

So what can I put out when her and her husband come to visit?

*Please keep in mind: she's Italian (my DH and I are too), but she and my DH are 1st generation, so I think any kind of dips and chips probably out.

So ladies, think Italian! And easy.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How about italian bread, pepperoni, provolone slices and maybe some peppers...like the ones that come in the jar in oil...they come either sweet or hot
