INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Hi Everyone. This is my first time posting on this board! Would current teachers, and those who have gone for public school interviews, list some of the questions asked on interviews? I'm going on one in a few weeks, and I don't know what to expect. Thanks to all. Enjoy your spring break -- you deserve it!!!!

Re: INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
So questions that I was asked were...
How do you communicate with parents.
How do you discipline or handle a difficult student.
What professional organizations do you belong to or what professional journals do you read.
How do you meet the needs or special ed. children, or gifted children, or ESL (ELL) children.
How do you incorporate differentiation into your lessons.
Depending on the grade...how do you prepare for NY state tests...ELA, math, science, soc. st. etc...
How do you balance test prep for state tests and learning the curriculum.
What was the last book you read.
What is your greatest weakness and strength in the classroom.
I hope this helps... You can also go on the districts web page that you are interviewing for and see if you can find info out about the programs they use.

Re: INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
What are the components of a lesson?
What is one thing that really irks you about kids?
Tell us about yourself (and my district looks for things that are not on your resume)
What are 3 words you would use to describe yourself?

Great list! Also, have some lesson plans in mind. I was asked for my favorite book then asked how I would teach i t. Same with my fav time period in history. So, have some good lessons in mind.
Good luck
