Anyone have national certification?
I've heard of this but know nothing about it. DH and I are trying to decide whether or not we'll stay on LI long term, and I hate the idea of getting re-certified for individual states.

I am in the process of getting the NC license.
If you know a specific state you want to move to, why not look to see what their requirments are for licensure?

National Board Certification is something a couple of friends have done and I am thinking about it too.The process takes a while and is pretty rigorous.
Some districts offer an additional stipend if you are NB certified. You can sometimes use it toward Prof Development hours and some, but not all states offer reciprocity.

I'm actually going to start the process next school year. The pay difference for having NB certification is ridiculous in NC...so I feel it'll be worth it in the long run!
