puppy dog food help
hi-I currently have a lab that we have been feeding Wellness Puppy food. She is 6 months old and currently goes poop 4 to 5 times a day if not more. We only feed her twice a day so its not that she is being overfed.I had her stool retested and she is ok. My vet said to put her on science diet or eukanuba but my friend who owns quite a few pet food stores says that they are crappy food and to put her on Natural Choice Lamb and rice?
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

I use Natures Variety raw instinct, and my dog is doing really well on it. It's a grain free food though, not sure it's suitable for a puppy.

Just wanted to add, stay away from Euk and Iams...my vet recommended PURINA...so I stopped asking them a long time ago what to feed

We used Nutro Max Puppy and Dottie loved it. We've moved on to Nutro Mini Chunk and she loves that too.
She poops regularly.

I used to use Euk..but swithed to Science diet DRY only.
My dogs poop less on that...2-3 times a day.
My vet recommended this and my dogs find it tastier than they did the Euk.

Dogs (even puppies) don't need grains in their diets. Stay away from "supermarket" brand foods. They have all sorts of things in them that dogs can develop allergies to (especially labs who are allergy sensitive to begin with). Try Nutro Natural Choice, Nutro Max if you want to get from a big box store.
Canidae is great, its what we feed our rescue pups.
FM me if you want some more advice, I have two labs of my own and work with a lab rescue.

I used Nutro and had no problems with it until that whole dog food recall. Now I used Merrick dog food. It's organic and my puppy loves it.

We have used nutro ultra since Bella was a puppy, and she has 2-3 poops a day.
