My mommy had to pick me up from school!
I went into work this morning (I'm a kindergarten teacher) and I felt very wierd and dizzy before the kids came in. I even was seeing spots before my eyes! LOL like in the cartoons! I went to the nurse and she checked by blood pressure.... it was very low. She wanted me to go home, but I wanted to see how I felt. SHe gave me food and cranberry juice to help bring up the pressure and got me someone to cover my class. She wanted me to lay in her office, but I refused b/c when the kids come into school, the nurses office is always packed with kids! HOw embarassing to be laying there. So they let me go to my room (with escort) to sit at my desk while the tutor taught my class. The nurse checked me 1/2 hour later and my pressure was still so low that she called my mommy (LOL) to pick me up and take me home from school! I was so mortified that I had to be wheeled out in a wheelchair!  All the kids in the hall were asking me if I was OK.
Well, I called my Dr. and he just said to drink alot and keep my feet up for the day and see how I feel later or tomorrow. He wasn't worried but I am a bit concerned.
Just thought I'd share my scare today!

Don't feel too embarrassed-the same thing happened to me when I was about 7 months at work but I actuallt did end up passing out cold!!! I was getting report from the day nurse and I started to feel lightheaded and dizzy-she said my face was WHITE-I started to get up to go lie down in a back room and next thing I remember was everyone standing around me with smelling salts. Thankfully I was in a hospital already so they took me in a stretcher to the ER and found out my blood pressure and blood sugar were very low so I had to have an IV for a few hours. The baby was fine though, talk about embarrassing!
