Need some guidance and motivation...
I had my DS 8 weeks ago and did the WORST thing, went clothes shopping as NOTHING fits me and my maternity clothes are too big or not season appropriate.
I really want to lose weight but not sure what to do or where to begin. I do not have a gym membership nor do I belong to WW or anything. Honestly we do not really have the $ for that at this point.
I konw, watch what I eat and exersice. But I am CLUELESS. What do I eat? What do I do for exersice? I am going back to work in a few weeks (July 30) so my sched is open now, but I have DS to consider also.
TIA!!!!!

Try going for long walks...especially by the water...it's cooler and you may really enjoy it! If not, try walking in the mall where it's cooler. Good luck!

What about a WW post?
You can figure out your points (also take into account if you're nursing) and put up the weight every week.
If find that when you have to check in, I do much better.

I think you can sign up for free for the most basic level of subscriptions at either calorieking.com or calorie-count.com.
Both sites will have you enter a food diary, and I assume calculate your caloric intake. I have seen on calorieking that it states next to a food, what you need to do to burn it off-- and the options range from high to low impact, i.e. an hour of walking, 30 mins bike riding, 30 mins running.
I would also buy a couple of fitness mags-- there are always exercises in there that you can do at home-- head to the bookstore and browse and only buy the issues that have something in it that you think you can do.
Also, I think it would be a good idea to designate a place in your home that is your fitness area-- make sure it's soft enough to do floor exercises, or get a mat. Also invest in 5lb free weights-- I don't think they are too much $$$.
Bottom line- keeping a food diary and committing to some form of physical activity is a great start. Once you see the scale starting to move, you will be so motivated to try more exercises and tighten up your diet.
