Hello All - I was in a bridal party over the weekend and I actually LOVED the dress but want to dye it black. Does anyone know anywhere that does garment dyeing? Thank you!!

Re: Garment Dyeing
Great question. I have a dress from the 60's that has faded spots on it. I need to do this too!

Re: Garment Dyeing
i checked high and low for a place that does it. never found one.
i have an aunt in the garment alteration industry and brought the dress to her - and she said NO WAY could the dress be dyed black.
the dress i had was satin and in a champange color - she said colors cant be taken from one extreme to the next like that. she darkest she could make that dress would be a sage kinda green. even trying that she said their was hugh risk to damamge the fabric. so i gave up. i dont know if its doable since my own AUNT wouldnt touch it.
