Staying in Montauk
If i am staying out in montauk for 2 nights do you think we could visit some of the winerys on the north shore or is that too far? are they all near each other or do you just visit one

there are some on the south shore - Duck Walk and a few others. The north shore is pretty far. Although on your way home you could probably do the ones in Riverhead/Jamesport and that wouldn't be too out of the way.

The ones on the north fork are pretty far away from Montauk. Let me put it this way. To get to Riverhead from Montauk is about an hour and fifteen minutes (give or take with traffic) and then about another 15 minutes to the nearest winery.
However, as the person mentioned above... there is the Duck Walk in Southampton (45 minutes from Montauk) and Wolfers Estate (in sagaponack... 30 minutes from montauk) that you can visit.
