I'm chicken-impaird, so I need some guidance.

I go to the store, buy a whole chicken/hen.

I rinse it and take out the inner things Chat Icon

Now what?

No, seriously, now what? I want to make it for DH but I suck at meat dishes. I have a gas oven, if that makes any difference.

Thank you! Chat Icon

Very simple...

I usually rub olive oil all over the chicken (some people like to use butter, and yes, butter is YUM, I try to keep it heatlhier)... then just season it with Salt, Pepper, Paprika, Garlic and Onion. I will also sometimes stuff the inside.not always, but sometimes I'll use Rosemary or Garlic cloves, or Onion, or even Lemon wedges.

ETA: Depending on the size, is how long you cook it. It should say on the wrapper how long to cook it for. As long as you cook it until the juices run clear, you are good. (I usually cook it for 60 to 90 minutes)

Haha I'm in the same boat as you. I make DH cook his own chicken, though. Good luck!

It's so sad...I try though. I just want to be able to make him a meat dinner without his help. MrsRbk, thank you for your help.
