Italian dish needed but w/ restrictions

I'm having trouble coming up with a good dish to bring to a pot luck/ game night at my friends house

She is doing an Italian theme but our 6 month preggers friend will be there and puts at lot of restrictions on us for what she can and cant eat (ie no cold cuts etc)

Any ideas? Could be appitizer, main meal, side dish or dessert...thanks!

I'm trying to think of something that doesn't have a tomato sauce (tomatoes gave me bad heartburn when I was PG) but all I can think of at the moment is pasta primavera, orzo salad, chicken scallopini, or rice balls.

You could also make cannolis; I'm pretty sure you can buy the shells, so all you'd have to do is make the filling.

Yes, it's a coldcut. I ate coldcuts while I was pregnant; just in small amounts. It's really up to the person whether they think it's ok to eat things like that or not. I drank coffee all throughout my pregnancy too and my son turned out just fine!

But mostly it's things like caffeine, coldcuts, certain soft cheeses and certain types of seafood that it's suggested that you don't eat. I'm sure if you search you'll find the list and that will probably help you decide what to make.

She doesnt eat or drink anything "bad" since she was high risk in the beginning, I want to make sure I cook something she can eat. Thanks!
