Disney Cruise
Has anyone been on one? I looked up prices and for a family of four they were quoting $7,000 WITHOUT airfare!!!

I went on the Disney Magic 2 years ago. It cost a small fortune. I have 3 kids and I had to get 2 cabins and you know Disney, nothing is cheap. The ship was beautiful, my kids loved it and the rooms are bigger than other cruise ships. Everything is done in Disney style and I loved their private island. Food was awful. When all was said and done it cost me $9,500

Wow. I would love to go on the cruise but I have a feeling it is going to be too much money. A regular cruise would be cheaper-lol!!

Disney cruise costs as much as a European cruise on Celebrity or RC. That is crazy!!!

I did the Disney Cruise on my honeymoon. It was better than any cruise line I've been on.

I went on one and it was amazing. I think it cost my grandpa $10,000 for 4 adults and 2 kids like 5 years ago... and that was after getting a deal.

Someone on another website said the prices are high because there is no gambling on board so they have to make up the money.

We did one for our HM in '05 and it was absolutely amazing. Our cruise was around $3,600. We paired it with a stay at the Grand Floridian which also cost a small fortune but it was worth it.
The following year my FIL gave us his DVC membership  (we now belong to the Boardwalk) Would have been helpful a year ago!!!! But I'm extremely grateful none the less. We're banking our points to do another cruise in '08.

Disney cruises are very expensive. They are a lot more then another vendor (RCCL, NCL, Carnival, etc...) doing the same sailing. It is because they do not have gambling and this is how they make up the difference.
