Hmm, that's good to know about the conditioner actually. Sometimes I just do a really quick conditioning instead of shampooing. Maybe I'm not rinsing enough or didn't rinse enough this morning before I went... thanks for all the tips guys!
This is it, IMO.
A cheap shampoos and expensive shampoos use the SAME few surfactants. Look on the labels and you will see. (You may find conditioners, plant extracts, proteins, etc in the higher end shampoos but you don't need any of that in a shampoo. That is what a conditioner is for.) Ammoinium Lauryl Sulfate & Ammonium Laureth Sulfate are milder then Sodium Laurel and Laureth Sulfate... but do you need milder when there is sebum remaining on your hair?
Just make sure to wash your roots with the shampoo and wash the conditioner out well.
