Another NYC question

So I finally got a letter that says the following...

Certificate of salary status

Current salary code- MAOA
New Salary Step- MA3B
2 1/2 years outside

Does this mean they gave me my 2 and half years and am i on the right step? Does the MA stand for Masters or does it stand for the first column.. I'm so confused.

Re: Another NYC question

i think they gave you the first column @ 3B. What differential should you be at? I know that the your differential and your step are evaluated seperately, so maybe this is only your step evaluation?

that is just my guess. I went there to drop off the step and dif in person and I had to drop them into two different boxes. So maybe they are reviewed seperately? Call the office to find out.

How long ago did you send your forms in?

I just called the UFT.. she said basically what you said..that it is the first column..that I should be getting another letter because it's a different dept..I dropped it off July 17th.. she said to give it some more time.

Well that is good. The turnaround for them to review was pretty quick. I dropped mine off about a week after you, so there is hope that they might be reviewed before school begins.
