WW & Sushi..

I just joined WW last Monday and I'm being SUPER strict!! I've become obsessed with my points and staying at my daily allowance (not using the flex points).

Tomorrow I have a lunch at Koi and I don't know what to get!!! I really don't know how I am going to control myself there since it's my favorite resturant!!!

I don't want to use my flex points, so how bad is it if I don't eat breakfast tomorrow? This way I can eat my breakfast and lunchtime points and not bug out..lol

My other problem is I don't know how to calculate the points in the things I'll be getting.. they use dressing on some things and I just won't know how to calculate.. Any suggestions?

I don't have a book, I'm an online member only Chat Icon

And it's not normal dressings.. it's like their specialty rolls and random concoctions..lol

Re: WW & Sushi..

I usually just eat sashimi - that will keep your points low.

Re: WW & Sushi..

THat is what those extra flex points are there for.. those times when you just arent sure... i at first was really nervous about using them also, but the flex points were what made staying on ww successful for me... i could "cheat" once a week, but I wasnt really even cheating since i had those flex points to play with...

I agree. the rice & sauces are what you need to watch out for.

Re: WW & Sushi..

I don't think you should skip breakfast! It supposedly kicks starts your metabolism for the day.

I can't remember clearly but I think 4 pieces of sushi is only like 3 points anyway.

Eat a light breakfast, something like a toasted english muffin with a small dab of butter or something if you need to. That would only be like a point if it's Thomas's Light English muffin. Or even a WW yogurt is 1 point.

agreed...order a roll without spicy sauces and mayo based sauces. Use ponzu sauce instead of soy sauce to keep water retention away.

Re: WW & Sushi..

I have always found i lose more when I have a cheat day(or even 2) and I have certainly skipped meals to keep points down or eat VERY light. Just egg whites and veggies for breakfast 3=1 point and add some no point vgetables. As a matter of fact it seems like thats what "thin" people dop when they are going to splurge on a good meal.

I was going to say the same thing. Try to stick with the sashimi, stay away from the eel, it's high in point value because of the sauce. Just keep it simple and you can eat lots of sashimi and one roll.

Good luck!
