where do you buy your birthday crowns/hats? (and what special things do you do for birthdays in your class?)

I am in Kindergarten but looking for new ideas and cheaper hats!

I got at lakeshore a sticker that says it's my birthday and birthday cards with removable book marks. I never did the crowns b/c I think my kids would roll their eyes at me, but I think they are cute.

I teach Kindergarten.
I get my birthday crowns and birthday stickers from a teacher supply catalog, but im sure they have them in the teacher supply store.
The parent brings in cupcakes and we have a small party.

I give them a B-day visor, cheaper than the hats and send home a letter to parents at the begining of the year.
Parties are will be celebrated on the day of your child's B-day, the Friday at the end of the week but all b-day celebrations must be in full notice.
They can do as much or as little as they like but parties start at 2:30, the bell rings at 3pm.
All treats are not to be eaten in class and must go home with the childrem. All food being served must be breakaway, such as cupcakes, munchkins, brownies. No cakes allowed unless they are already sliced into pieces.
That is pretty much how the letter goes and I review it at back to school night.

I order them when we do our school wish list. I teach 2nd, so I don't do crowns anymore, just big stickers that they can wear on their shirt, a pencil and a certificate. Parents usually send in cupcakes and we sing happy b'day and eat during snack time. Nothing crazy, but makes the kids feel special.

I give birthday stickers and pencils. But, I saw cute crowns at Lakeshore.
