I refer to my stepmother and my dad as my parents. I call her by her first name but also refer to her as "mom" when speaking to my little brother. My sister, on the other hand, calls my stepmother "mom" often.

It's a touchy subject for the kids I think! My son asked me what to call FH when we get married (next year) he's 8 now. We told him it's completely his decision, whatever he's more comfortable with! He wants to call him dad... he refers to him now to his friends as "my dad!" He just wont call him that till after we are married.... I would let her make her own decision unless it really bothers you then just ask her nicely in some way shape or form to call you by your name or maybe the two of you can come up with another name together. She just may see you as more her "mom" then her biological one! Especially since she lives with you and has more interaction with you! Just my opinion!! Good Luck though!
