I think you would wear what you would wear to a Christening and give what you would give for a Christening...I hope that helps.

Re: Briss??

Check? How much do people give these days? And do we give double for twins? (I guess so, huh?)

Yes I agree.
Depends on how close you are. We gave our friends son $75. DH was Godfather to another baby and we have her $150 and a gold cross. I'd say $50 would be good!

For a friend's baby's Christening...I usually give $50.00 and a gift...and, yes, you do have to double it.

You dress nicely. I would give what you give to a christening or buy something off the registry.

Re: Briss??

I would treat it as if it was a Christening. Same gift, same attire - but i would definitely double the gift since the babies are twins.

I disagree with the above poster.

People DO register for the baby- since Jews usually don't have baby showers, the registery is there for people who want to buy gifts for after the baby is born- a Bris for a boy and a naming for a girl.

Re: Briss??

You can wear business casual to a bris. I can say that people wear anything. At my son's bris, people wore jeans... and it was at a temple... I was a little shocked at that.

For a gift, we received stuff off our registry ( since we don't have a shower), lots of clothes and checks. Since it is twins I would give 75... We received checks from $18( this is good luck in the jewish religion) to $100 depending on how well we knew the people...

Hope this helps...

That is totally your call- that's what the registry is there for. But you can never go wrong with $$
