BRISS Questions
Do you give $$ or a present? How much should I spend?
It is a friend that just had her second baby.
I've never been to a Briss before - THANKS

Re: BRISS Questions
either one is fine. A savings bond is a good idea too.

Re: BRISS Questions
I usually give money or a savings bond. It depends on how close you are to the person - for someone I'm not all that close to I usually give about $50. For a close friend/relative, I'll give $100

Re: BRISS Questions
I just had my son's Briss two months ago. When I go to one, I always give money. My son didn't get any money, it was all gifts. Some were off my registry some were not.

Re: BRISS Questions
For our son's BRIS, people gave combination of monetary gifts and clothes. Also, we got a tiffany's feeding spoon from my sister that we use all the time, It was a great gift.
Mostly people gave $100 and up, but they were all close relatives and friends. I agree that when it's not someone you are close with $50 is fine.
