However, aren't there a few ridiculous scenarios out there involving a weekend sweep by the Yankees, a weekend full of losses by the Angels & Red Sox and one loss by cleveland and the Yankees have the best AL record with home field throughout? Or am I talking out of my *ss?
I don't want Boston to win the AL East because they haven't in 11 years. It will give Boston fans one more thing to try and rub in our faces.
I dont' want them to win either BUT I will let them have the division win if we win the World Series.
ETA: I personally don't think they will catch up to them. Although my fingers started hurting from all the crossing I have been doing with them.

That is true. I like the mets. I am not one of those people that hates them. Your team needs to come together and you could easily have a very successful post season. I am pulling for you guys.

Thanks, I like the yankees too, I am not anti-yankee, I have just ALWAYS been a met fan...well see what happens, I will stay positive until it is over, nothing else you can do

manny is back - but I don't want the yankees to catch boston -if they catch boston they have to play the angels - the yankees do better against cleavland - but cleavland is a good team too

This is a very tough time in my house. I am a Yankees fan & DH is a Met fan. Poor guy is always so excited in the beginning of the season and so let down at the end
Anyway, I think the Yankees have a good chance if they keep their individual egos in check. I am not a huge fan but it seems to me that when they play like a team rather than a group of superstars they are more successful. JMHO
I could've written this verbatim!!!!!!!!
As a Yanks fan, yea I think they'll pull through. It's just a part of supporting your team!!
At the same time, I really hope the Mets pull through too. Not only bc of Kevin but bc of New York!!!!!
