Silly question
I was talking with the girls at work today...most of them being moms, and none of us knew this. What is the umbilical cord attached to, other than the baby, what is the other side of it? I always thought it was our belly button but they laughed at me and said no, but didn't know the answer.

baby is attached to umbilical cord which is attached to the placenta which is attached to the uterus which is attached to your body not your belly button.

I dont think its a silly Q, its kind of cute. I didnt know alot of things about pregnancy until I was pregnant, even small things.

 You ladies are so cute. I'm assuming you meant the belly button from the inside (??) when you thought that? It's amazing what our bodies are capable of doing, isn't it??
