For those who had a shower or having one will dh stay?
I am on bedrest so my shower will be at my mil sitting in a rocking chair with feet elevated, I have asked my hubby to stay and help open presents because I remember how overwhelming my bridal shower was.. He has agreed so I am very happy about that... I think baby things are more fun then bridal things teeheelol! The pics should be very cute...

My DH left. When I think back he should have stayed...I had just gotten off of bed rest, I had a TON of gifts to open and I ended up having an emergendy c-section the day after my shower because I woke up bleeding very bad. (I was 35 weeks when she was born)

My shower was thrown by FH family and since i just relocated here to LI about 2 months before my shower, i knew noone . I had no friends/family here...so Fh stayed and actually it was more like a BBQ then shower. all his family including uncles etc were there there and we all had a blast!

I asked him to stay, but he opted to just drop me off, say Hi to everyone & then go watch the football game.
Guess opening baby stuff in a room full of women just wasn't his cup of tea.

Yes he will be staying. He helped me picked the stuff out and helped me make the baby...might as well enjoy the food and celebrate with us. BTW I don't think he will have a problem with all girls LOL he was raised in a house full

My DH did not stay for mine. He came at the end to say hi to everyone and helped to load up the gifts.

Mine couldnt come, he had to work. Not that he would anyway. Hanging with 55 women is not his cup of tea either!!! He came later on, and helped pack up the trucks with the goodies...

My DH didn't stay for the baby shower but he showed up later to help load up the car and bring it all home.

my dh wants to stay and video tape the shower. im going to have him help me with the big gifts. the place we are having it at has a seperate bar area to it so the men are going to be watching football and drinking while the ladies are dining and enjoying a nice shower.

I thinking of maybe a co-ed shower, or really more of a party than shower. I remember not really liking being the center of attention opening gifts at my bridal shower.
Do you think it'd be weird to have a co-ed party, and NOT open all the gifts in front of everyone?

DH said -Hi- then left with my dad to pick up the crib.......then they came back at the end to help load the gifts in the car.

My DH feels the same way. He did say he & my brother would come towards the end of it and load up the car and help with the gifts. DH joked around that he would rather have bamboo shot up his nails then be at a baby shower with a bunch of women and be the ONLY guy!

My DH stayed but there weren't any other men there so he felt really out of place. He sat off to the side most of the time.
