Crockpot-Chicken Substitution?
If I have a recipe that calls for boneless skinless chicken thighs and I want to make it with chicken breasts, does it take less time, the same, or more time.
What about if I have a recipe that calls for bone-in chicken and I use boneless chicken?

hmm... not sure about the boneless VS boned.. BUT, i can tell you that i have a recipe for chicken chili that calls for chicken thighs, and i use chicken breasts instead all the time...comes out exactly the same, and i use the same amount of cooking time....

Re: Crockpot-Chicken Substitution?
dark meat always takes longer than white meat, and bone-in takes longer than boneless....
I'm not sure about in the crockpot , but if making a normal stovetop stew, boneless chicken thighs would take about 20% longer than boneless breast cut into similar sized pieces..... also, a whole bone-in breast would take about 20% more time than an unsliced boneless breast.....
more important than that, is whether or not the meat is cut into small pieces, or left whole....
hope this helps a little.......
