What pants are you wearing w/ flats?
Is it me or are all pants super long? Im 5'6" and I find that most pants need SUPER heels and not flats.
Are you ladies hemming all your pants? How are any of you able to wear flats?

I'm having the same issue.
I'm also 5'6" and I'm not supposed to wear heels right now because I'm still recovering from back surgery.
BUT every pair of pants I can find are super long and if they are cuffed (as most of them seem to be) it's impossible to get them hemmed.
And I do not fit in petite sizes.
So for now I've been going to Old Navy because they carry "short" or "ankle" sizes.
I don't want to spend a ton on pants right now, but these certainly aren't long-term solution pants.

I have this issue all the time. I have to buy pants just for flats. I have "flat shoe" pants and regular shoe (heels) pants. It's very annoying. Jeans are especially annoying....they all have like a 35 inch inseam!

Same for me. I have short jeans for flats and sneakers and long ones. Now starting this for dress pants too...but not too many.

it's not you. I am 5'7" and need to get all my trousers hemmed. what a PIA! I never used to get anything hemmed until about 2 yrs ago.

It's funny you posted this today. I just tried to bring in two pairs of pants but the seamstress wasn't in yet. I need to get them hemmed for my flats.
I'm wearing my "high heel" pants right now with 3" heels and they are still too long. They could probably be taken up 1/2". I'm 5'6", not that tall but not short either.

I do the same thing. I am 5'7, but have really long legs so I almost always need long length pants for heels. I find that certain regular length pants are perfect for flats.

I ALWAYS have this problem. I'm 5'4", so most regular pants are long. I wear 3" heels almost every day.
I'm having bunion surgery next month and I wont be able to wear heels for a very long time.  I have NO IDEA what I'm going to wear to work this winter. I have to buy all new pants, which I'm not looking forward to.
I've even considered borrowing my mother's sewing machine and teaching myself how to hem my own pants.

I am short so I am getting one pair of jeans and one pair of black dress pants hemmed for flats and will only use those 2 pairs with flats.
All my other jeans and pants I get for when I wear heeled boots or shoes.

I only wear flats during the day-if Im going out at night I wear heels...
so what I started doing instead of hemming my "good" jeans, I recently tried American Eagle& Abercrombie jeans that come in "short" sizes-i buy those esp for wearing w/my flats.

This is my biggest annoyance when I shop. I am 5'2 so you can imagine the trouble I have buying pants. Even with heels, most pants are too long on me. Having all pants hemmed can add up to in costs. It's a losing battle for me trying to find pants that fit me right.

Not to mention all dress pants look like balloon pants on me, the legs are too wide and the crotch hangs down to my thighs. I have to wear super high heels with any dress pants i get. Either that or my mom hems them for me but i can never wear flats with them.

I'd say that 90% of the time, my pants need to be hemmed (I actually just dropped off two pairs to be hemmed today). I really only wear flats with my hemmed bootcut jeans or pants.
