scrapbookers-how many albums do you have?
After a long hiatus I'm back to scrapping. I've been doing pages like crazy & still not even making a dent in the years & years of photos I have.
So far I've got 10 12x12 albums, all full with extra pages, but I've still got so many pictures left to scrap. Should I just keep buying more albums? Also how do you decide what goes in each album? Do you do it by year or by holiday or theme?

I have some books by years but switched over to theme albums. I don't do that many different things in a year that warrants it's own book. So I have a giant disney album since that's where most of our vacations have been. I am also working on a family album and a book of me project.

I have two. One for our travels and another for our boys. In the boys album though I have events that we celebrated too....like DH's 30th Bday.

I have 3 so far. Two are years & one is our wedding. I did 2004 & 2005....have to start working on '06 & '07 one of these days.

I'm having such a hard time figuring out how to arrange the pages & how to decide what to make each album. Naturally I didn't scrap my photos in the order I took them so I'm actually going back in time now and I feel like the albums don't make sense.
Since I posted this question I rearranged a bunch, now I have an album with all of our beach/Lake pics, a fall album, a christmas album, each of the kids have an album, one for my nieces, all random stuff before we were married. still need to do my childhood, DH's, our wedding(its only been five years) & a bunch of random stuff. I guess I'll just keep buying more albums when I see them on sale because it looks like I'll need them.
I tried to put all the pages in chronological order in each book & I even went back & journaled 99% of the pages I left blank
I think its starting to make sense.

It's a lot of work, but so worth it ! I love when people look through them and comment on such a great job.
DH likes scrapbooks better than photo albums cause "they're more interesting to look at" and he apparently doesn't get bored
