My class really came through for me today...
I told them about how my Grandma was sick and they were so good to me all day long. They wrote the most touching get well cards I have ever read in my life! I hung the cards up in her hospital room.

oh how amazing!! I got the chills just hearing that.
it's truly powerful when children can see that their teacher "is a person" too, and when they figure that out  , they are little hearts of gold...
soo sweet..

Didn't want to do it but I started crying...I couldn't help it. I started to cry before I even told them what happened. Two of my girls started crying...but it brought me closer to them. I have talked about my Grandma and my family during writers workshop and stuff so they know all about her and where she lives and stuff so I felt that I needed to share it with them.
