NYC Teachers: What "Grade" did your school receive?
And is it driving your admin. crazy? My school got a respectable B. Of course, it is not enough. I was in a meeting today and my AP said to me "I WANT an A."

We got a B also. And like your admin, it is not good enough.
So, next year, we get an A. And then what happens the year after that? A plus? Then A plus plus? Gimme a break.
So absurd.

Mine got an "F" but MY Adminstration says well compared to grades we got on all the other different surveys it doesnt fit.
But on the contrary my school deserved that F

I think it was a fair grade.
I also think my principal was relieved the school didn't flunk! But of course the administration wants better.

we got a B but we were previously a failing school so a B is excellent
Now we have to keep it in order to get off of "the list"

My school got an "F" There are rumors going around that they are going to shut us down. We are one of the few largest high schools left in NYC. Our school is fighting it. They feel that we have such a large ESL (600) and special ed (349) population that should be considered more carefully.

What school are you in? I am also in one of the last big high schools (Madison).
