Anyone a school librarian?
Does anyone know the requirements for school librarians? I looked on the NYSED site and the NYCDOE site and didn't find anything clear. I have two master's degrees already and am a certified teacher- do I need another degree? Are positions hard to come by? (My school actually has no librarian at the moment, though it's in the South Bronx, which may explain why the vacancy exists)
TIA.

I'm a public librarian, but I believe you need an MLS, focusing on school media. Since you already have the ed. credits, I don't think it should be too difficult.
Check out the Queens College website (www.qc.edu)
graduate programs
Scroll down to library science.
Good luck!!

Since I don't know where you live (Nassau, Suffolk) I don't know if Queens College is too far for you. I know Post has a program too.
