Question for those who did IVF
Hi everyone I post on the infertility board but just noitced this board existed -
My husband and I have had one successful IVF (never did IUI because Dr's suggested going straight for IVF) that has just recently ended in miscarriage at 8.5 weeks - D&C today -
Our next step will be FET - and I know everyone's experiences are different - but can you please share yours with IVF / FET - -how many were put back -what was the cell # and quality
I have heard FET is a lot less strenuous physically and emotionally - and honestly looking forward is the only thing that is keeping me sane!!!
TIA for all of your help and your kids are adorable!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Re: Question for those who did IVF
YES, FET is much esaier on your body mentally and physically. I only had to go to weekly sonos and blood vs. the evry other day thing.
I too had a m/c at 8 weeks from my first IVF cycle, and went on to FET. I put 2...5 day blasts and now have 15 month old twin boys Everyone keeps telling me I had twins to make up for my m/c

Re: Question for those who did IVF
Thanks for replying Diane
Everyone keeps telling me that I am supposed to have twins and that is what will happen this time - no pressure right? but I think that would definitely be awesome!!!
Is there a reason that your doctor used day 5 instead of day 3 - did you also use day 5 for your fresh??
TIA

Re: Question for those who did IVF
first, sorry for your loss. i know how sad miscarriage is.
my first ivf attempt was a bfn. i was certain that it worked, but it didn't. i did a fet next and now i have 7 month old twins!!
fet is much easier. like diane said, much less monitoring, injections and overall strain.
both of my transfers were day 5 transfers because i had to do pgd on my embryos due to genetic blood disorder traits dh and i carry. both times i put back 2 embryos. i don't know specific cell quality of the ones we used.
wishing you much success!! please feel free to fm.

Well, they schedule you to come in for a day 3 trasnfer, but they said they will call you if the embies are still grwoing, so they called me and cancelled and told me to come in on day 5 for my transfer. Actually all 6 of my embryos that re frozen are all 5 day blasts.

Re: Question for those who did IVF
I had three put in at day 3---at first three looked liked they technically took-then one was just a sac. I have twins. It was my first ivf
