Im considering joing WW...............

but Im nervous. I was never a good dieter and sticking to one as well.
So I would compensate by working out.

Now i feel I need both esp after a baby.
I am at the heaviest I have ever been and of course its the hardest to take off.

I tried to do WW without joining and yea, that lasted a wk.

Two girls do it at my office and get weighed in on Thurs and I figure we could help each other out.

I need to do something and I also booked a Fl trip for March and would really like to feel comfortable in my clothes.

I personally think it is so easy to stick to. You can basically have anything you want as long as it fits in. When you exercise you get more points to eat something. It's not like other plans where you have to eat their food or eat according to schedule.

I was scared in the beginning too! We had an at work session so I decided to sign up and it was nice having coworkers to do it with (since you spend so much time during the day at work and for me - it's the place where I have the greatest chance of eating junk!)

I lost about 35lbs and have kept most of it off (except 5lbs) for over 3 years now. I don't follow it as religiously but, I use some of the info I learned and think before I eat certain things. I definitely recommend it.

I'm going back thursday! Do it!

WW is one of the easiest diets to stick to, because you fear that weigh in every week so you're extra careful what you eat....just be sure to drink lots of water.....GOOD LUCK!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Im considering joing WW...............

I joined last year and really loved it... i had a friend who I went with, which made it a lot easier and it forced me to go to the meetings each week, which helped a lot... i think a big part of it is learning that it is not a diet, it is a lifestyle change- portion control and moderation... I made lifetime, and once doing that, i didnt even count my points anymore and was able to mantain my weight because i really learned how to eat properly...

I think you should give it a try. The hardest part is in the beginning but after that it becomes part of your routine and gets easier. I did an at work group at first and it really helped. Now I do WW online because of DS. Good luck! Chat Icon

Re: Im considering joing WW...............

I was nervous at first too but like the others have said above...the benefits are that you can eat anything you want, just keep track of it.

The easiest way for me to stick with it, right now is what DH and I did. We went grocery shopping bought a whole load of healthy foods and got rid of all of the junk we had here. The kitchen looks 10 times cleaner and even if I wanted to binge real bad I couldn't.

I don't deprive myself of food on WW and never felt like I have. If I'm hungry, I'm going to eat, I just make sure I keep it in the point range.

Honnestly, hopefully this sheds some light...DH and I find ourselves eating when we're not hungry to make our points at night. It's all yummy and I love to eat but I could have went without the last graham cracker but needed to fill that last point.

Good Luck! The support group here is amazing as well!!!
