Bermuda Vs Atlantis
I am so confused... we are trying to plan a trip for the summer and I cannot decide btw Bermuda (Fairmont Southhampton) and Bahamas (The reef- Atlantis)
I always check Tripadvisor before booking and the reviews of the Fairmont were not so great recently, but I know people who have stayed there and they raved about it. I know Atlantis is gorgeous too! What should we do?

OMG! I have not been to atlantis in like FOREVER, but I have been to Bermuda (FS hotel) last June.... LVOE LOVE LOVED it!! I can't wait to go back again!
They were so accomodating to us after our incident at another hotel!
From what I hear, Atlantis isn't worth the $. But then again, it's been a while since we've been there.

I don't like the Atlantis and always stay at the One & Only Ocean Club.....
Atlantis is way too big and too busy...you have millions of screaming kids running around (if you have/travel with kids it is great) but I don't like it....they do have a new policy that only hotel guests are allowed on the hotel's property where before anyone could have just walked in and use the pool areas......
Bermuda is way more beautiful (Bahamas is too commercialized and feels like Florida)....the Fairmont is a great hotel and you will have a nice time!!

I seriously loved the Fairmont Southampton. If I had a choice of destinations, Bermuda would win out over the Bahamas.

It was about a year and a half ago - in the summertime.
I feel like tripadvisor is so hard to go by. If they are complaining about cost - well, I think it's pretty known that Bermuda is expensive, you know?

I am glad to hear that...b/c my friend went there too and she raved about it ..but the thing that confused me was that Tripadvisor is usually right on the money...maybe this time it is wrong.
I am still so confused.
Anyone else?????
