If you jump rope
how do you do it? Wait, what I mean is how long do you do it for? What steps do you do (feet together or a running motion)?

I do it 3x for 3 minutes. I used to do it for a boxing class (we did it to warm up) and since each round of boxing is 3 minutes that's where it comes from.
In between the 3 minutes of jump roping I do 30 pushups and 50 crunches.
But I just use this as a warm up in the mornings before the treadmill.
