Question for anyone who has had a questionable mole removed...
When they remove it, I know they send it to a lab for analysis. They said they would call if anything is wrong. They did not call, but the mole grew back. Should I be worried?
I plan on going back to a dermatologist (once I find a new one) and have them look at this, and others, again. Is it common for moles to grow back? Does this just mean they did not get it all?

My mole grew back after it was removed and it was not cancerous.

A derm removed one of mine which did not grow back, however, instead of just taking a sampling.... he removed the whole thing (which my mom and I were PIZZED about)....
It turned out not to be cancerous, and he left a mess of a scar on my shoulder.

I have had many removed: pre-cancerous, cancerous, and non-cancerous.
Recently, one of mine started to grow back.
my derm removed it as a precaution and is testing it.

I've only had one removed about 4 years ago... and it wasn't cancerous. Mine hasn't grown back at all, but I'd probably get it looked at if it did.

I had a mole removed on my wrist a few years ago (it was questionable and turned out to be nothing).
Within a year, it started growing back. I asked the dermatologist about it and he said that it must have had deep roots and sometimes they grow back if they don't get it all.

I've had many removed........some have grown back, some haven't. I was told they can't predict what happens after they are removed......
