Does anyone pre-pack their food for the day? (just restarting WW, need help w/ideas!)

Hi!

I have been on and off WW for a few months and since the holidays really off, it's just not good...I have a short term goal of 10 pounds to lose and about 18 pounds total.

I want to start pre-packing my food into containers/baggies so I know what I can have and how many points it is.

Does anyone do this?

Also...I am in need of snack ideas that are low point but filling. My brain feels fried, lol..I used to be so good at this but I find I am craving a lot of sweet stuff lately...and its really hard for me to eat a lot of fruit unfortunately, I don't care for it (but I do like yogurt and bananas together!)

TIA!!!

I have been back on WW for a month, and find it MUCH easier when I pre-pack my food/lunch.
I like to make whole wheat couscous with spinach and fat free feta. I ll make enough for several days.

I tried to do veggies and fruit, but, oh yeah...I am not a fruit or veggie person.Chat Icon

So, I pack any combo of:
WW individual cheese
WW mini bars
WW dessert
Special K Bliss bars (My new obsession, thanks to a post here)
Mrs Freshley's snacks

As you can see, I like my sweets

Well, I bring lunch every day, and it consists of:

a sandwich with diet bread (1pt for 2 slices), and usually turkey or chicken coldcuts

a fruit or vegetable

100 calorie snack pack.

This all comes to 5 ww points, and that is my lunch.

I pretty much pack my entire day...here goes:

Breakfast-either oatmeal, cereal and milk, cereal and yogurt, or breakfast bread (pepperidge farm) with cream cheese (all between 2 and 3 points)

Morning snack-apple or banana and PB or without PB or cheese stick

Lunch-Potstickers (TJ's) or chicken strips or lean cuisine no more than 5 points and a salad with tomato, craisins, nuts, and raisins and a dressing made from one tbsp of reg. caeser dressing, lemon juice, and some balsamic vinegar, a pear, and 2 dark chocolate thin mints from TJs (trader joes)

Afternoon snack-1 pt cheese stick from TJs (sometimes with some kashi crackers)

I'm working later now so I take more fruit or another treat with another 32 ounce water to get me to dinner...hth

During the week I plan my breakfast and lunch and fit dinner into what I have left. I also bring stuff into work and either write the points value or the cal/fat/fiber on it.

At my desk I typically have 100 calorie packs, sugar/fat free pudding, oatmeal, fruit cups, WW bars.

My food for today:

Breakfast: 1 hash brown (3) egg white (1.5), spinach (0)

Lunch: WW bagel (2), turkey (1.5), cheese (2), 1 tbsp light ranch (1), salad (0), oil & vinegar (1)

Dinner: Oatmeal (5)

That still leaves extra points for some fruit and snacks

Re: Does anyone pre-pack their food for the day? (just restarting WW, need help w/ideas!)

Absolutely! Between my 1.5 liter bottle of water and my food I feel like I am lugging over a weeks worth of groceries!

I bring my lunch every day. Typically I will have leftovers from dinner or grilled chicken with salad. I always make extra for dinner and I pack it up into containers when we are finished so it's just grab and go in the morning.

We have au bon pain soup right downstairs so sometimes I will have that and half of a turkey sammie. When I am really desparate and have nothing else I bring a microwave dinner.

As for snacks fruit, fruit and more fruit. Sometimes if I'm feeling saucy I'll have it with babybel light cheese or I'll have another snack like 100 calorie snack pack or something else like pretzels.

Good luck!!!!!
