Restaurant suggestions needed for a large group in Manhattan
We're planning a night out to celebrate the 30th b-days of DH's whole group of childhood friends. There will be 11-15 of us going out. We want to do a nice dinner, and then go to a bar or lounge, maybe someplace a little different.
Any suggestions for a restaurant that's good for a large group for a nice night out? Italian food is preferable.
Also, any suggestions for bars and lounges that would be fun, cool, but not too trendy?
TIA!

It's not Italian but we went to a really great mexican restaurant called Dos Caminos. 825 3rd Ave.
The guacamole is made tableside and to your liking. It was awesome!!!!!

I just had DH's christening at Tony's Dinapoli on 83rd & 2nd (there's also one in Times Sqaure). It's great for groups. There's actually a bunch of cute wine bars that have opened near Tony's too if that's what you're looking for.
