Recommend a NYC Bakery Please!
I need a birthday cake by tomorrow long story................I will be in manhattan tomorrow....does anyone know of anywhere I can pick up a nice cake to take to a party? its for a toddler but all adult guests.

Magnolia (11th and Bleeker) or Butter Cup (2nd Ave in the low 50s...can't remember which block exactly, but its on the west side of the street.)
They have the same stuff, i'm assuming same owners. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmm

Buttercup is on 52nd. You can take the 6 to 51st street and walk over.
They are really the same place. I don't love their cakes though, but I do love the cupcakes

I was just going to suggest this place too! When I worked in the city we used to get all of the cakes for our office from there.

Definitely Two Little Red Hens on 2nd ave and 84th street. Their cakes are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

interesting. it's on my street and i had cupcakes from there once and didnt like them so i've stayed away.
