Venting - daycare related

So I found these two people who advertise on Craig's List as Two mom's for the price of one. I went to meet them and they seemed fine. I decided to try a 1 hour trial before I would use them. They emailed me the following day saying that they would take my infant twins but not my 3 year old because he is too "energetic"...are they kidding me? Why would I leave my infants with someone who can't handle their brother??

Anyway I was wondering if I am just a bad mother? Are there other mothers of "energetic" 3 year old boys who may have had twins?

My son is under some stress..he went from being the only child to a child who has to compete with not only one baby but two.

No you are not alone.. I am that crazy woman in the mall, supermarket, can I go one.. I am always telling my 3 1/2 Yo that she needs to stay with me, no not run away, I think she her name is " Where are you going" , "what are you doing?" I think you have to have lived it to understand that it is not easy for a child to have the whole world to themselves and then have to share it with 2 new babies. It is really hard and most 3yo have aot of energy anyway;.. IMO I would somewhere else anyway...

I agree, if they can't take your son, and they tell you that up front without even trying, I wouldn't even bother with them. Good luck!

Don't think it's you at all!! I do childcare and I have brother & sister who come. The sister is a little bit more outgoing than the brother..likes to talk talk talk, lol. I would never tell her to bring boy but not his sister. 1 that is so wrong, 2 like you said they will take INFANT but not child!! When i sit new kids, i do watch to see how they are with others, not if they have too much energy. Duh, they are kids. What do they do all day, sit and watch tv??? They should be happy that he is energetic, then he can do things that are fun. This is why I can't bring my children to someone, people are so messed up. But thank god for the good ones!! Well, hope all goes well for you.

Thanks everyone... I just feel so bad and I couldn't sleep last night.. and I think only mothers with multiples would know that I was exhausted...

To be honest before they said they didn't want Ryan I had a bad feeling and wasn't going to use them anyway. It really makes me want to stay home with my kids instead of working even if it means we will have no money.

How could she turn down one of your children? Do they really expect a 3 year old to be inactive?

Sorry for butting in here but that is just so wrong of that woman or women. I have never met a 3year old in daycare setting that sat hands folded on their lap and was perfectly still and said nothing all day. What does that woman want stepford children. That is ridiculous. I am so sorry that happened to you.

Re: Venting - daycare related

Sorry for crashing...

Aren't most 3-year-olds just little balls of energy? You think being in the childcare industry they'd know that?

Had to post, that made me mad.
