submitted a resume but have not heard anything WWYD?

If you sent a resume (via email) & the closing date was 2/15 and you have not heard anything, would you contact the employeer?

If so, what would you say??

I don't know either, I have submitted many lately for myself and my husband in the fields we are well qualified in and haven't heard anything from any of them. I don't know who to contact since most were through Monster, Carrerbuilder, etc.

It's a rough job market out there right now. Companies are being selective for the positions available.

Key Factors as to whether or not you're the right applicant:

1) No breaks between jobs
2) You're currently working or unfortunately laid-off (under 6 months of employment)
3) You were or are currently in the SAME position that you're applying for. If you're an AVP now, applying for VP positions at another firm - resume will not be considered.
4) Cover letter should include the reason you're looking, your current salary and your salary requirements.
5) Your resume speaks for itself. Include all relevant information to the position you're applying for.

Yes.

What do you recommend I write? I don't want to be pushy, but want to let them know I am eager!

i disagree. you sent your resume, let it be. you dont' want to be a pain in the arse. sorry if i sound harsh, but i know ex-boss' of mine that would actually get annoyed and rip up resumes of candidates that called to follow up.
