nose bleed
My husband got a nose bleed this morning. He woke up with it. He has NEVER had a nose bleed before and it took a while to stop.
Should i be concerned or have him call his doctor?

Re: nose bleed
Was the heat high in your home? I get them sometime from dryness in the air overnight. I wouldn't worry too much if it was an isolated incident.

Re: nose bleed
I get them occasionally in the winter- its usually from the dry air and its like chapped lips that crack, you get a tiny crack in your nose.
Make sure he drinks a lot of water to keep those membranes moist.

Re: nose bleed
I am prone to getting nose bleeds during the winter from dry heat. I get them at work a lot because the air is often hot and dry. Sometimes it takes a little longer for it to stop.

Re: nose bleed
I 'm sure it's just dry heat, but since he never got it before I would call a doctor , just to be safe.

Yeah he's never gotten it before. And i don't think it was the heat. I mean we go to bed with the thermostat at 64 and then around 6:30am it goes up to 66. But that's it.
