We have not have ours yet....I think it will be at the end of March or beg of April...yipeeee

We have not had ours yet. We will be shortly and I could are less what they say. I am just going to go about my day and do what I do. I am fed up with NYC DOE!

we already had ours. last year was a piece of cake compared the this year. like a PP said, make sure your kids know their levels and goals (math and ELA). make sure your datafolio is packed. her favorite qestion was "why are you teaching this?" LOL ummm.... i was told to?

she was very tough this year. also, wanted to see manipulatives in use for ALL math lessons.

Ours is at the end of March.

We had a "mock" QR last week. The network leaders came in and talked to us. It's all a waste of time- they want us to say what we have to say in order to get a good grade. They don't want us to say what we really think.

No seriously.. my first graders were asked..
"What level do you read?"
"H"
"Whats the next level to go to?"
"I"
"When will you be an I reader?"
"When I read in a smooth voice!"


Luckily.. some of my kids new.. but they were to say MARCH OR APRIL!

Our person really focused on differentiated instruction.

I was just going to post this! Our review is this week-Monday through Thursday and my administration is going absolutely crazy.

I teach in HS and I hope that my schedule is too early for them to come and see me (My first class starts at 7:20 and my last class ends at 11:30).

Does anyone know how many days they come for??? I can't remember from last year. It's not just one day is it???

We are having ours this month too, and I want to quit the BOE for the millionth time. We are being told to have "authentic" comments on Math work as well as evidence of Math conferences. Kids who are finished early cannot assist other students if they finish their [Math] work early. We have to be able explain our differentiation. We need evidence of Guided Reading, centers, leveled libraries, lessons, bulletin boards (no dittos), reading and writing conferencing notes, blah blah blah.

Where are they when I have students who pee on themselves, wipe their boogies on their arms, interrupt, play with anything they find on the floor, fall, whine, and tattle on each other?

I cannot keep up with the paper overload!

i thought i was the only one with kids who pee on themselves!!! ( it teach 4th)

that actually did happen on the day of the QR, but miraculously, that day the guidance counselor was there when i needed him.

We had ours in November....had to be sure to have suthentic comments on all work that was hanging up....overall not bad
