Besides Menopause

what could make me start sweating for no reason..sometimes during the day and sometimes at night?

Just before I was heating up my lunch ( i was very hungry) and I felt shakey and started sweating..

at night sometimes I wake up sweating.

This has been going on for years at night..I just thought I was too warm at night.

I am rarely cold, always prefer to be cool than warm.

I've been getting night sweats for the past year more and more frequently. Now I just found out I am hypoglycemic and that is a symptom. All along I thought it was perimenopause. The shaking and sweating when you are hungry could be hypoglycemia too. But anyone can get hypoglycemia when they haven't eaten in a while and are hungry. Mine is more chronic (reactive hypoglycemia).

By the way, perimenopause can bring on hypoglycemia too.

I swear, the girls get all the good stuff.

I'm 41 and I've had sweats and my face feeling flushed for the past few years as well. I too have attributed them to peri menopause, although my hormone panels have been normal so far. Who knows. My inclination, for myself, is that they are definitely hormonal, in one form or another.

I would have the Doc do some bloodwork. could be a lot of different things or nothing...

AF does it to me and sometimes I think that it happens when I am on some medications.

This coudl be a thyroid issue or a sign of diabetes.

well, I'm due for a non-fasting bloodwork at the end of the month along with a regular doc visit. I will bring it up.

Maybe I should change it to fasting..maybe there are some sugar issues..
