TMI... ladies come in
Just want to say first that I already made an appt with my obgyn to discuss, but wanted answers sooner than that.
I'm spotting one week before my period comes. It has been like this for the last three months. Before that I was like clockwork. Any suggestions as to what it could be. Do you think a simple change of birth control could be the answer? TIA

Yes. I get the same thing and also have been TTC for a long time. Turns out I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Sydrome) - the spotting was a symptom of it. I did not develop this until I was in my late 20s (I'm 30 now). But check with your Dr. since everyone is different and maybe it has to do with the BC change

I didn't mean that I already changed my BC, I meant to say do you think if I changed it, the spotting would stop. Thank you for your answer though!

You could just have breakthrough bleeding. I experienced that when I was taking Loestrin I believe. My gyno switched me to something else and it stopped. Good luck!

Sounds like breakthrough bleeding to me - a change in BC may definitely be in order - same thing happened to me a while back...

It can be due to a super low dose bc pill, you may need a slightly higher dosage.
Some ladies livers just metabolize the hormones faster than others and that can cause breakthrough bleeding.
ETA: I dont know anything about you, but there has been some research that if you weigh over 180#, you may need a higher dosage.
