Week One of my SB Diet

So far so good...I started yesterday, and since I've done this before I kind of know what to expect...I know that the lbs. will start flying off starting next Monday and all I keep telling myself is that this is only two weeks out of my life...the rest will be easy...but the first two weeks (Phase 1) is a killer...

What I love about this diet is that you're never hungry...but I'm craving carbs like crazy...I know it'll get worst on the next couple of days...I feel like a drug addict going through withdrawals...

I got bored by the ricotta with various extracts, so I keep No Sugar Added Fudgsicles in the freezer. I also have Sugar Free Jello Pudding Cups (they come in a variety of flavors - Chocolate/Vanilla, Mocha, Dulce de Leche, Chocolate Mint). You can also try making a "fake" waffle (ricotta, eggs, baking powder and a waffle iron) and adding sugar free syrup and fat free whipped cream. It's breakfast-y, but sometimes it's a fun treat.

Re: Week One of my SB Diet

I did this diet before I got married and lost about 30 lbs. Of course I gained 40 for my pregnancy and right now I'm at the same point, maybe a little heavier, than I was before I lost the weight for my wedding.Chat Icon I have started it again about 2 weeks ago but not nearly as strict as I was the first time I did it. I swear I have lost absolutely no weight. I'm disgusted. So I'm going on phase 1 again. This is the only diet I can live with because I hate WW and I like not feeling absolutely starving. It's a realistic way of life, I think. Now, if I could only lose the weight again. Anyway, I load up on cheese and the sugar free pudding snacks. I still crave carbs like crazy. It's tough but good luck to everyone. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Week One of my SB Diet

Anyone have a website that tells all about the diet and what it entails or is the only real info provided through buying a book?

Lucky, I bought a book that listed all the foods and which to avoid and which to eat. I thought that was helpful. I seem to remember celery being a food to avoid...Who would have thought??

Re: Week One of my SB Diet

I seem to remember it being a food to limit or avoid for some reason. I have to look into it again. It's been a year and a 1/2 since I've been on phase 1.

I found some inconsistencies comparing the SB books to each other, so it may have been listed as a limited food in one but not in another. That's one of my peeves with the SB books. I'm curious if it's a limited or avoid food since I had about 6 huge celery stalks yesterday Chat Icon

Some foods are to be limited like milk and certain meats...but honestly, I eat until I am full...otherwise I'd on the floor...

BTW- I felt jittery and shaky yesterday and this morning I woke up with my heart POUNDING. I jumped on the scale and 8 lbs down! I had a nice breakfast though and I felt much better!
